How to Guide: Misting Fans

Setting up the Misting Fans

Step 1

  • Place the misting fan where you are wanting to use the machine.
  • We suggest 10-20ft from where people will be sitting or standing.
  • Too close and everything in front of the fans will get wet.

Step 2

  • Lock both rear wheels so the fan reservoir does not move

Step 3

  • Set the fan on the top of the reservoir with the cord towards the handle or rear, place the hose with the filter down into the reservoir in the cutout.

Step 4

  • Ensure the hose is firmly inserted into the fan, otherwise it won’t be able to suction the water to the mister and fan.

Step 5

  • Plug the machine directly into an outlet, or a quality extension cord.

Step 6

  • Begin filling up the reservoir with water.
  • Because water pressure can vary it is hard for us to estimate how long it takes to fill up.
  • The amount of water needed is also hard to estimate, depending on the chosen mister speed (shown in later steps), the water can last all day on the lowest speed to less time on the higher speeds.

Step 7

  • First turn on the fan choosing speeds 1-3

Step 8

  • Second, choose whether to use the oscillating feature or not.
  • We suggest using this feature to cool a larger area.
  • If the fan is not oscillating, everything in front of the fan has a higher likelihood of getting wet.

Step 9

  • Third, choose the speed of the mister by pressing the button shown with the arrow.
  • We suggerst starting with speed 1, and increasing if needed. The higher the speed the more water is used.
  • You can also choose a time to have the mister on if you want, but typically this setting is ignored.

Step 10

  • When you are done with the misting fan at the end of your event, please drain the water by twisting the green plug at the bottom of the reservoir counter-clockwise.
  • After the water is drained, please replace the plug so it is not lost.

Step 11

  • Ensure the reservoir has been drained and the plug replaced back into the bottom of the reservoir.
  • Put the fan back in the provided black bin with yellow lid with the front of the fan towards the bottom so the cord and hose are facing the top of the bin or the lid.
  • Ensure the hose stays attached to the fan as it becomes detached easily and can get lost.
