Place the machine on a level surface with at least 12 inches of clearance around the sides and back for ventilation.
Allow the machine to sit upright for several hours if it was recently transported.
Plug the machine into a dedicated electrical outlet, ideally on its own 20amp breaker
If there are other eletrical items plugged into this outlet you run the risk of tripping the breaker
Using a generator can result in insufficient power for the machine
Extension cords that are long or a smaller gauge can result in insufficient power for the machine
Important Reminders
Use cold ice cream mix for faster freezing.
Keep the hopper at least partially full while serving.
Never operate the machine without mix in the freezing cylinders.
If you get an error code UL during operation that is due to insufficient power
Operating Instructions
Prepare the ice cream mix. Mix your soft-serve mix according to the manufacturer’s directions until completely smooth. For best results, use chilled mix.
Fill both hoppers. Slowly pour the prepared mix into each hopper without overfilling.
Prime the machine. Allow the mix to flow into the freezing cylinders according to the machine’s instructions so no large air pockets remain.
Start the freezing cycle. Press the Freeze button to begin making soft serve.
Allow the machine to freeze. The machine will take 30-45 minutes to reach serving consistency. Wait until the display indicates it is ready.
Dispense the ice cream. Place a cone or cup beneath the desired handle and gently pull the handle down to dispense soft serve.
Refill as needed. Keep the hoppers filled with mix during operation to maintain consistent product quality.
Use the pre-cooling function when needed. If the machine will remain loaded between serving periods, use the “Keep Fresh” to keep the mix cold until you’re ready to serve.
Cleaning the Soft Serve Ice Cream Machine
Before You Begin
Have a clean bucket ready to collect the remaining ice cream mix and rinse water.
Use warm water, food-safe cleaner or sanitizer, and cleaning brushes.
Never begin disassembling the machine while it is operating.
Important Reminders
Do not immerse the main machine or electrical components in water.
Keep all O-rings, seals, and small components together during cleaning.
Cleaning Instructions
Stop the freezing cycle. Change the machine from Freeze mode to Stop mode.
Turn on Wash mode. Select Wash to run the internal mixing paddles without continuing to freeze the product.
Drain the remaining ice cream. Place a bucket beneath the dispensing handles and open each handle to empty the remaining product from both sides and the center flavor.
Add warm water to the hoppers. Pour warm water into both top hoppers. Do not use extremely hot or boiling water.
Run the wash cycle. Allow the machine to mix the water for a few minutes so it can loosen the remaining ice cream inside the cylinders.
Drain and repeat. Dispense the rinse water into a bucket. Repeat the rinsing process until the water comes out clear.
Turn off and unplug the machine. Once the machine has been flushed, place it in Stop mode, turn the power switch to off and disconnect it from power before removing any parts.
Remove the dispensing-head assembly. Loosen the retaining knobs on the front of the machine and carefully pull the dispensing head straight outward.
Disassemble the dispensing head. Remove the handles, dispensing valves, O-rings, center valve, and other removable components. Keep the pieces together so they are easy to reinstall.
Remove the internal beater assemblies. Carefully slide the mixing or beater assemblies out of each freezing cylinder.
Wash all removable parts. Clean the dispensing head, valves, handles, O-rings, beaters, drip tray, hopper components, and other removable pieces with warm water and food-safe cleaner.
Clean inside the machine. Use the provided brushes to clean the freezing cylinders, hopper openings, dispensing passages, and any areas where ice cream residue may remain.
Rinse, sanitize, and air-dry. Thoroughly rinse the parts, apply an approved food-service sanitizer, and dry all the parts.
Reassemble the machine. Reinstall the beater assemblies, dispensing valves, handles, seals, and front dispensing head in the reverse order they were removed.
Secure the front assembly. Tighten the retaining knobs evenly. Do not overtighten them.
